
Storage Frequently Asked Questions
A. We encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your preferred pick up date and time! It is free to sign up online and you can always change your pick up slot later as needed or cancel by May 1st for no charge. We strive to serve all potential customers regardless of when you sign up, but our busy finals week slots do fill quickly!
A. Yes! For any term 1 month or less the pricing is discounted by 25%. We can also offer a custom quote based on the amount of belongings you may have.
A. We sure do. Pricing is per term, and there are 3 terms during the year. Spring is Jan-April. Summer is May – August. Fall is September – December. If you are storing for back to back terms, the additional terms are priced at 50% of the initial term.
A. At pick up, you will sign an invoice of the charges. We will then send a payable invoice to your account on our website, which you can complete using the same or different card from registration. If payment has not been completed in a timely manner, per our service instructions we may charge your credit or debit card that you registered with on file. We do not accept cash. For some international students, we can arrange to accept Paypal transfers as needed.
A. Our storage is priced per item for the entire summer and includes pick up, delivery, boxes and insurance. Prices listed are not per month. Please refer to our pricing list on the storage page of our website.
Pickup/Delivery Frequently Asked Questions
A. In the event that you need storage pick up or delivery outside our scheduled dates for their school, we are happy to work with you. We do offer custom deliveries/pick ups and often strive to schedule them aligned with other individuals’ requested dates/times. Custom delivery dates may incur a fee of $25 – $100 depending on your volume and date. Remember, we have many delivery dates available for free, which are available for your selection upon pick-up and can be modified later.
A. Yes, our storage facilities are climate controlled and within 5 miles of each university campus. We pick it up, store it for you, and deliver it directly back to you! Not a student? We’re still happy to help with your storage needs!
A. Yes, we can ship or deliver your storage belongings nearly anywhere you would like through The UPS Store. We also provide several students out of town deliveries when transferring to nursing school, other Texas schools, etc. Please contact us for estimated costs.
A. Upon registration, you are allowed to select from a window of free dates for pick-up during Final Exam week and the days immediately following based on your school. If these dates do not work for your circumstances, you can also request any other day. For your preferred pick up date, you are able to select a 3 hour pick up window. We will confirm your time slot at least 3 days prior to your pick-up or let you know if it full farther in advance.
A. Special arrangements can be made for us to pull items early. If you have an idea of this at move-out, please let us know so we can strive to make arrangements. We kindly ask you to give us at least 5 days notice if possible. Custom deliveries are priced at $25 – 100 if a change is needed to be made beyond the initially scheduled free delivery.
A. Ideally, yes we prefer that all students are present for storage pickup. If you live on campus, we are required to be escorted for pick-up. We do understand that certain circumstances may arise, so please contact us.
A. We ask that you register online at minimum of 72 hours (3 days) prior to your scheduled pickup or delivery. If you schedule later than that, we will do our best to accommodate you but we cannot guarantee service on a date so close to your registration. For the best selection of preferred pick up dates and times, we recommend registering as early as possible!
A. Yes, we come directly to your dorm room for each pick up. If you’d like we do offer curbside pickup for 10% off your storage! You can also drop off your belongings to The UPS Store (at select schools) for 15% off your storage, when you register by May 1st!
A. Our free boxes are just complimentary and available for your use. You may also use your own boxes, plastic totes, tubs, trunks, or whatever you wish to store your belongings in. You may put belongings in them. Just be sure that the construction of the container is sturdy and nothing will fall out.
Boxes Frequently Asked Questions
A. Yes we are happy to arrange box delivery, and we can for $20, except during our free pick up dates for each respective school. We have our Box Delivery Form where you may request this!
A. You may take as many boxes as you think you need, provided you use them for storage. If the additional boxes are not used for storage, just give them back to us when we pick up your storage. You may also return boxes to our kiosks or select UPS Store locations. For boxes that are taken and not used for storage through Campus Crates, we can simply charge your account the retail price of the boxes if you’d like to use them for moving home!
A. Upon registration, you may pick up your boxes at our select designated store locations by school or arrange delivery prior to final exam week. You may also pick up boxes from our convenient kiosks on campus during Finals week (as available per school).
A. No. We will simply match the size of your box or plastic tote for example to our sizing and pricing guide accordingly.
Shipping Frequently Asked Questions
A. Yes, through our Ship to School program. We will receive and store your items in our climate controlled warehouse, and deliver them to you when you get here. We can even send you the boxes and labels for you to use included in the price! You are also welcome to ship us your online retailer packages from vendors such as Amazon or Bed Bath & Beyond.
A. Yes. We offer a convenient Ship to Home option for all students. You can do this as part of your normal Storage pick-up for some of the several items or simply bring the items to The UPS Store or an on-campus kiosk during Finals week (as available per school).
Insurance Frequently Asked Questions
A. There are some items that cannot be insured including glass or extremely fragile items, particleboard furniture, cash, and jewelry as a few examples. Please note that the $100 is per item stored, not each individual article contained with a box/bin. You can also pay to add additional insurance per item at pick up. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
A. Yes. Each box or item comes with an automatic $100 of declared value coverage. If you wish, you may purchase additional declared value coverage for a rate of $5 per $100 of value. In order to insure any of your storage, the customer must inform our storage crew at the time of pickup and indicate the specific items to be insured on the Storage Contract.
